For shipping and packing purpose, 200mm quick release plate and quick release clamp aren't pre-installed on the UA-180. They should be attached to the UA-180 by user using enclosed hexagonal wrench and 2 M6 screws.

A. Detailed explanation of the UA-180's parts and functions:

1. Swivel arm lock knob: for locking and unlocking the swivel arm. 2 knobs function the same. Locking knobs on the both sides can yield better a better grip than locking on one side.

2. Panning base lock knob: For locking and unlocking panning base from rotation. 2 knobs function the same. Locking knobs on the both sides can yield better a better grip than locking on one side.
Attention: due to internal locking mechanism on the lock shaft, by turning overly loose outward, the screw shaft maybe broken. Locking tightly will not create problem for this mechanism.)

3. Lens support adjustment knob: for locking and unlocking the lens support base vertical position. It is used to adjust the vertical position of the lens support.

4. Quick release lock knob: For tightening and loosening quick release plate on the quick release base.

5. Safety pin: For preventing quick release plate and camera/lens from falling accidentally. Push pin to take off quick release plate.

B. Installation of 300mm and 400mm quick release plates:

300mm and 400mm quick release plates are optional accessories to UA-180. They can establish additional link between camera/lens and lens support of UA-180. Please tighten the locking screws according to the figure shown. Please tighten each screw little by little with equal force, and tighten all screws gradually. Do not tighten one screw up and then move to others.

C. Lens/camera installation

Please note that since we have a safety pin mechanism on our quick release plate, remember to press safety pin in before mounting or detaching lens/camera/QRP(quick release plate) combination on UA-180. To mount camera/lens/QRP, please slide in quick release plate from top with an angle, after the quick release plate has settled inside the clamp, then release the safety pin. To remove camera/lens/QRP, please press safety pin first, and lift quick release plate with an angle.
